With virtual happy hours replacing our after-work drinks, hitting the bars after a day in the office is a distant memory for now. However, that doesn’t mean you have to compromise on the drinks at home. We’ve selflessly taken one for the team (someone’s gotta do it) and tested out a selection of options around London, from direct cocktail deliveries to services and subscriptions. Here are a few of our favourites:

Callooh Callay

This award-winning Shoreditch bar is now offering their most popular cocktails for nationwide delivery via their online shop. The extensive menu changes with each season, and cocktails come in a bottle, so you get a few glasses out of each drink - just how we like it!

Dishoom

Cult favourite Indian streetfood restaurant, Dishoom, are now offering a selection of drinks from their Permit Room bars, including the India Gimlet and Sonia’s Negroni. These pair perfectly with some of their meal kits (including their famous bacon naan!), or you can check out the Ambassador General Store featured in our Restaurant Experiences guide for more delicious options.

NIO Cocktails

NIO (standing for Needs Ice Only) is a super handy cocktail delivery service that delivers in clever flat packaging so it can go straight through your letterbox and into your freshly chilled glass. Simply choose how many cocktails you want to order (3, 6 or 9), choose from 17 expertly crafted drinks, and eagerly await delivery. Each package just needs a quick shake, tear, and pour over ice, and we loved how quick and easy this option was, without sacrificing flavour.

The Cocktail Man

If you’re as serious as we are about cocktails, you’ll love this 12 month subscription - and what better time than now to practise your cocktail shaking!? Each month, a luxury kit arrives with all the ingredients for five top quality cocktails - you just need a cocktail shaker, along with glassware and plenty of fresh ice.

Sip & Co. are here to bring you the luxury of professionally made cocktails right to your doorstep. With an extensive selection of classics and minimal effort required, this sounded right up our street. For the budding bartenders amongst us, there’s also the option of DIY cocktail kits, which gave us a great opportunity to have some virtual cocktail-shaking competitions to flex our competitive sides.
